Pure Morning

A friend in needs a friend indeed,
A friend with weed is better,
A friend with breasts and all the rest,
A friend who's dressed in leather,

This has to be one of my top favorite songs by Placebo. The lyrics tell an interesting story and the beat brings it all together. I can listen to this song over and over again and not get bored with it.

Military and Leather Jackets

When it comes to jackets I have to say I love military and leather jackets the best. I think they look good on girls and guys and just add something different to a outfit. They toughen any look and add that rebel without a cause feel. I have to say I couldn't live without my black leather jacket that I got during the winter. Now alls I need is a great military jacket and I will be all set and ready to go.

Taylor Momsen always looks amazing in leather jackets and military jackets.

As you can see Norman Reedus knows how to pull off a military jacket and a leather jacket as seen at the top of the post. Just had to add him in since I LOVE him, he is such a talented person and seems so nice.

Molly Was a Good Girl

molly was a good girl and she knew the reasons why
so when she went back in the bathroom she would never come
outside she was a good girl and it felt great to be a liar
she was a good girl and it felt great to be a liar
she was a good girl and it felt great to be a liar
oh - liar - oh oh no - liar - oh oh

I really love this song, simple lyrics with a whole lot of meaning. You can always think of another person or character to be Molly and what is going on with her. You can really use your mind and be creative with this song and make it your own.

Dream World

It's one of those days where alls I want to do is stay in my room and dream. Create my own little world. Blast my music and read a new book is all I need to leave reality behind. No worries and no cares, the dream world is filled with hope and joy and whatever I want it to be filled with. So sitting in bed with my new book, Jane Slayre by: Charlotte Bronte and Sherri Browning Erwin is all I need to dream. Dream of a world filled with Zombies, Werewolves, and Vampyres. My own little fantasy world right in the middle of my room.

Twentieth Century Fox

Jim Morrison: Talented, Mysterious soul

Well, she's fashionably lean
And she's fashionably late
She'll never rank a scene
She'll never break a date
But she's no drag
Just watch the way she walks

I have been listening to The Doors nonstop today because last night I watched the movie The Banger Sisters. I love this movie so much and Suzette has got to be my favorite character. What I wouldn't do to know a person like her. Not to mention I love her tattoo of the lizard with the crown on its head to show her love for Jim Morrison!

Here are some other photos I found online that I really like and think fit the song lyrics to some degree.

Pills, Demons & Etc.

You got your demons and your ways of life
You could pull the trigger and
You'd end the strike
You got your demons and your fancy wine
It would go down easy if you'd spend the night

I absolutely love this song and have been listening to it a lot lately. The lyrics really stuck in my head and I figured it would make a great post. The song has a lot of meaning and great lyrics. I only pick some lyrics out but really I could have posted the whole song.

Supersonic

I need to be myself
I can't be no one else
I'm feeling supersonic
Give me gin and tonic
You can have it all but how much do you want it?
You make me laugh Give me your autograph
Can I ride with you in your B.M.W ?
You can sail with me in my yellow submarine

This song has some amazing lyrics and these ones always stick in my head. It is so important to just be yourself and not care what other people say about you or think about you. Live your life the way you want to, no one can stop you but yourself.

The Disquieting Muses

Mother, mother, what illbred aunt
Or what disfigured and unsightly
Cousin did you so unwisely keep
Unasked to my christening, that she
Sent these ladies in her stead
With heads like darning-eggs to nod
And nod and nod at foor and head
And at the left side of my crib?

Mother, who made to order stories
Of Mixie Blackshort the heroic bear,
Mother, whose witches always, always
Got baked into gingerbread, I wonder
Whether you saw them, whether you said
Words to rid me of those three ladies
Nodding by night around my bed,
Mouthless, eyeless, with stitched bald head.

In the hurricane, when father's twelve
Study windows bellied in
Like bubbles about to break, you fed
My brother and me cookies and Ovaltine
And helped the two of us to choir:
"Thor is angry: boom boom boom!
Thor is angry: we don't care!"
But those ladies broke the panes.

When on tiptoe the schoolgirls danced,
Blinking flashlights like fireflies
And singing the glowworm song, I could
Not lift a foot in the twinkle-dress
But, heavy-footed, stood aside
In the shadow cast by my dismal-headed
Godmothers, and you cried and cried:
And the shadow stretched, the lights went out.

Mother, you sent me to piano lessons
And praissed my arabesques and trills
Although each teacher found my touch
Oddly wooden in spite of scales
And the hours of practicing, my ears
Tone-deaf and yes, unteachable.
I learned, I learned, I learned elsewhere,
From muses unhired by you, dear mother,

I woke one day to see you, mother,
Floating above me in bluest air
On a green balloon bright with a million
Flowers and bluebirds that never were
Never, never, found anywhere.
But the little planet bobbed away
Like a soap-bubble as you called: Come here!
And I faced my traveling companions.

Day now, night now, at head, side, feet,
They stand their vigil in gowns of stone,
Faces blank as the day I was born,
Their shadows long in the setting sun
That never brigtens or goes down.
And this is the kingdom you bore me to,
Mother, mother. But no frown of mine
Will betray the company I keep.

I do not own this poem. This was the work of the brillant and talented Sylvia Plath. Who I would have to say is my favorite writer of all times. She writes so dark but her words are truly beautiful and make you think.

Back With The Pretty Reckless!!!

Hey Everyone, sorry I haven't been posting but I totally just fell out of the groove of blogging. But now I am back and hope to update more regularly then I have been. I just got done my first year of college and am on summer break now. So I have more time to blog and do what I like To come back I wanted to blog about the band The Pretty Reckless, fronted by Taylor Momsen. Taylor Momsen is one amazing girl and I love everything about her. She is not scared to be herself and say it like it is. She wears what she wants and doesn't care what people think about her clothes. Her music and band are amazing and I can't wait to hear her EP and then the whole CD. I know it is going to be amazing and I can't wait for more to come from The Pretty Reckless. Which has to be one of my new favorite bands!! :D
